Another Successful Pig Trial Mud Run
According to comments from runners, the 5th Annual Pig Trail Mud Run was the best yet. We had 451 registered runners. We collected more in sponsorship dollars than we ever have. We had plenty of help on race day. Registration, packet pickup and check-in went smoothly. The food was fantastic. The beer was excellent. Runners appreciated the after-race snacks, water and other beverages. More people stuck around longer at the recovery party. We had a lot more kids in the Little Piglet Corral thanks to Pediatric Dental Associates and Orthopedics. All the runners agreed the race was well-organized, the obstacles were challenging and terrific fun. Traffic control went well, even with a section of the run on Marchant Road. Parking went smoothly. Our new celebrity emcee and runner Alex Caprariello with KNWA/Fox 24 and the Rotarians who inspired the runners and got the event going did a wonderful job. Media coverage was great. We continued the bell theme to help runners understand where their money goes and why Rotarians are so involved and committed. While there can always be improvements, it is safe to say this year’s race was our best.
And it all happened because of YOU! Whether you helped prepare the course, worked race day, were a sponsor or helped in any way, you should be proud of what you, as a part of this organization accomplished. So many of you did so much. THANK YOU!
